The Apollo Theater presents WOW - Women of the World Festival in partnership with the WOW Foundation

CONVERSATIONS, WORKSHOPS, PANELS, WOW BITES

The WOW Festival features workshops, activities,  programming, and performances with artists, community leaders, writers,  thinkers, activists, and leaders exploring a variety of issues across  cultural, civic, and social boundaries with a focus on empowerment and  activism. Participants include White House Correspondent April Ryan; WNYC's Jami Floyd; Educator and Activist Angela Davis and more.

On this final day of the WOW Festival at the Apollo  Theater, we open the building from top to bottom in a celebration of,  by and for women and girls and the men who love them.

Reservations are now closed for Sunday's events. Walk-up registration will be available based on capacity.

Got To Stop is looking for sponsorship, partnership, and community organizations to join us and support our campaign.  


There is so little being done to in our community to combat this issue simply because people don't know. We are inviting you to be part of our community conversations, education, and advocacy around these issues.


Our survivors and victims need to know there are people who care about their safety and well-being. We GotToStop sitting on the sidelines and get involved.

Advocacy Through Education and Training

  

Got To Stop will be hosting four training sessions beginning in October. Our trainings are free and open to the public. 


Our anti-human trafficking workshops are led by expert trainers in the field to equip our communities with the tools and the awareness to stop exploiters from the commercial sexual exploitation of children in their tracks. 

  • Learn about the intersectionality of domestic violence and sexual abuse and what the community can do to support victims and survivors. 


  • Learn more about how sex-trafficking in the United States that targets low and moderate-income communities and the significant impacts on Black and Brown communities.  


  • Learn about the environmental, social and economic factors that perpetuate human trafficking, domestic violence, and sexual abuse. 


  • Learn about the key pieces of legislation we need passed in Congress to punish child sexual exploiters, protect victims of human trafficking crimes, and support all survivors.
