October is National Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention Month! Got To Stop Domestic Violence through Awareness, Education, and Advocacy. It's time to shift the narrative and change our lifestyle to protect and save lives.
Returning Hope is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated towards empowering survivors and educating the next generation on domestic violence. We are survivors helping survivors.
Created for Greatness, Inc.
Our mission is to work with families, business owners, community leaders and elected officials to build better lives, better businesses and better communities.
We strive to establish authentic partnerships with people of all cultures, ages and stages of life. We seek to transfer the vision of excellence and transform organizations, families and communities.
We believe that everyone is essential to humanity regardless of culture, gender, religion or race. Integrity and wellness come from accepting that within each person is a valuable component necessary for humanity. We create safe spaces that empower individuals to unmask their dividedness, affirm their true identities and welcome their souls to wholeness.
To build power in our community, we have to build the leadership and organizing skills of domestic violence survivors. VOW accomplishes this though various training programs for new and active members. These programs focus on community organizing, political education, and understanding domestic violence; they combine workshops and hands-on experience in community organizing. We continually develop a new generation of advocates, activists, and leaders dedicated to social justice.
Some ways that VOW Members organize for change are:
Got To Stop observes National Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention Month. While we raise awareness and focus on prevention, we celebrate our Domestic Violence Survivors and Thrivers everywhere for their courage and on-going resilience.
Let us continue to encourage those currently living in fear and silence. As advocates, we pray for their safety and emotional, spiritual, physical, and financial well-being.
